Loving-Kindness Meditation is a practice that involves offering feelings of kindness, compassion, warmth, and friendliness towards ourselves and others using visualization and simple mantras.
While loving-kindness meditation has its roots in the Buddhist tradition, it is used by many people, regardless of their faith or beliefs, in secular settings to enhance feelings of physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
There is a growing body of scientific research that documents the many benefits of loving-kindness meditation, including enhanced emotional well-being, reduced stress and anxiety, increased social connection, and improved physical health in the form of lower blood pressure and reduction of chronic pain.
Loving-kindness meditation can be a transformative practice that has the potential to profoundly enhance your life and the lives of those around you.
