The pelvic floor muscles may be some of the most important muscles in our body; they form the foundation of our core, support our internal organs, and control important bodily functions. These muscles work in conjunction with our diaphragm, hips, and abdominal muscles to keep our bodies strong and stable.
Our pelvic floor, just like the rest of our muscles, can become tight and weak, with too little or too much tone. When this happens we may experience issues such as stress incontinence, urge incontinence, pelvic pain, constipation, hip pain, and back pain.

Each week we will explore various movement activities, breath work, yoga asanas, and restorative poses designed to bring awareness, strength, flexibility, and release to these important core muscles. Come to this workshop to learn practices that support your specific needs, whether you have a particular issue or you just want to maintain a strong healthy pelvic floor.
These are the topics we will cover:
· basic pelvic floor anatomy
· breathing practices that support pelvic floor health
· yoga asanas that strengthen, stretch, and release the pelvic floor muscles
· restorative poses that promote relaxation and release of tension in the pelvic floor muscles
· exercises to improve the strength, stability, and coordination of our hips, core and pelvic floor
