Ecstatic Dance August
This is an evening dedicated to tuning deeply into our bodies in a safe and supportive environment. No prior dance or movement experience is required. You will be inspired to allow movement to flow through your body through guidance and curated music. This can open the space for emotional and physical release.
Starting with a thorough body scan and warm-up, you will be guided on a journey of freeform dancing. The session concludes with a grounding meditation. Tea will be provided to facilitate integration. Ages 12 and older are welcome to attend.
Isa is a mixed Taíno Boricua woman, whose life has been intertwined with dance as a powerful form of medicine. Having experienced healing in her own body, mind, and soul through dance, she brings a wealth of knowledge cultivated since childhood in various dance forms, as well as studies in performance and acting. Isa passionately believes in the universal accessibility of movement as a tool for profound healing, release, and liberation—all you need is music, your body, and trust!
